May Bank Holiday Weekender! -

Saturday 5th - Monday 7th May 2018

 

 

Saturday 5th May – Beverley & Scarborough

 

We will depart Lincolnshire on Saturday morning to travel to Scarborough via Beverley. We will spend a few hours in Beverley exploring the fantastic Saturday market before exploring the wide range of shops. We will then travel on to our Hotel in Scarborough where you will have free time to explore the local area before a three course dinner served at our Hotel.

 

Sunday 6th May – Goathland, Whitby & Robins Hood Bay

On Sunday morning we will enjoy breakfast served at our Hotel before departing for the beautiful, picturesque village of Goathland. Goathland was used as the setting for Aidensfield in the well known TV series Heartbeat, and is packed with interesting visitor sites relating to the series. The historic station has also recently featured in the Harry Potter films. See the famous Aidensfield Arms, Scripps Garage, sheep roaming freely in the street, enjoy an ice-cream and explore the various little shops! In the afternoon we will visit Whitby, a traditional seaside resort which offers some of the best fish and chips around! Whitby is a lovely old fishing town with winding cobbled streets and pretty buildings that make you feel as if you’ve gone back in time. We start to make our way back to our Hotel via Robin Hoods Bay, a small fishing village, home to sandy beaches, fossils and the Dinosaur Coast! We will return to our Hotel in Scarborough where you will enjoy a three course dinner before resting ready for our homeward bound journey on Monday!

 

Monday 7th May – York

The bank holiday weekend sadly comes to an end! We will depart the Hotel shortly after breakfast and travel to York. Rich in ancient history, renowned for its exquisite architecture and cobbled streets there really is something for everyone to enjoy! The city’s historic sites are impressive, contained within the city walls which date back to Roman times and are themselves an integral part of York’s unique character. We will depart from York at 4pm to return to Lincolnshire.

 

Staying two nights at The Delmont Hotel in Scarborough, all rooms are en-suite, have a complementary tea & coffee tray & include a digital free view flat screen television, there is also a lift to access all floors of the Hotel. Breakfast and three course dinners included.

Newquay & Classic Cornwall Tour -

Monday 17th - Friday 21st September 2018

 

In this new tour we combine the traditional destinations of Land’s End, St Ives and Newquay with visits to the Atlantic coast destinations of Padstow, Tintagel Castle and Boscastle.

Monday 17th September

We will depart Lincolnshire on Monday morning to travel to our Hotel in Newquay, making several comfort stops. You will have time to stretch your legs and explore the local area before your evening meal.

Tuesday 18th September

This morning we take a leisurely journey south west to Land’s End. Take a stroll along the family-friendly paths above cliffs carved out by the Atlantic Ocean, and visit the ‘End to End’ exhibition that tells the stories of some of those who made the 838 mile journey to or from John o’Groats. We then travel to St Ives, one of Cornwall’s most popular seaside destinations. There’s free time to lose yourself in the maze of narrow, cobbled streets and alleyways, and spend time down by the harbour beach. Don’t miss the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden where work by the country’s leading 20th century artists is exhibited in tranquil gardens.

Wednesday 19th September

Time to really relax with a free day in Newquay. This laid-back resort offers a mix of beautiful beaches, cliff-top views and seafront shops.

Thursday 20th September

Today we travel up the Atlantic coast to the pretty fishing town of Padstow. The colourful working harbour sits among pastel washed medieval houses. We continue to Tintagel Castle, a place inextricably linked with the legend of King Arthur. Our final stop is the village of Boscastle, a picturesque natural harbour and village, mostly owned by the National Trust. The Elizabethan quay sits in an impressive amphitheatre of steep cliffs and is home to quaint stonebuilt cottages, shops and tea-rooms.

Friday 21st September

After an enjoyable breakfast we check out of the hotel and return home, we will stop off on the way home for lunch and make several comfort stops.

Staying four nights at The Esplanade Hotel which overlooks Fistral Beach with stunning atlantic view with breakfast and three course meals included. All rooms at the hotel are en-suite with TV, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. There is a lift to all floors but there are seven steps to reception and further steps to some bedrooms. The hotel has leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool, spa bath and sauna.

Paris Christmas Market

Friday 23rd - Monday 26th November 2018

 

Friday 23rd November

We will leave Lincolnshire on Friday morning to travel down to Folkestone to catch the Eurotunnel to Calais. The Eurotunnel journey takes only 35 minutes! We will arrive in Paris in time for you to freshen up before exploring the local area and finding a local restaurant for your evening meal.

Saturday 24th November & Sunday 25th November

After your breakfast you will have a free day to explore Paris. Christmas in Paris is a magical time, shops glow with colourful Christmas displays, patisserie shelves are full of delights and the city’s monuments are illuminated. There are markets in various parts of the city: the best being at Notre Dame Cathedral, Gare del’Est, Montparnasse, the Champs-Elysees and the Christmas village on La Defense esplanade.

Monday 26th November

After our final breakfast we travel back to Lincolnshire – sadly your festive trip comes to an end! Staying three nights bed & buffet breakfast at the Novotel Hotel Paris La Defense. Located in the heart of La Defense this 4 star hotel is in a convenient location for visiting the centre of Paris. The nearest Metro station is a three minute walk. All rooms are en-suite with air conditioning, TV, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities.

We will leave Lincolnshire on Sunday morning to travel to Bath via the beautiful Cathedral City of Worcester. The City is best known for its magnificent Cathedral but is also famous for the world renowned Worcester Porcelain, the piquant Worcester Sauce and the most picturesque cricket ground in the country. We will arrive at the hotel in time for you to freshen up before enjoying a three course dinner.

Monday 3rd December

We will depart the Hotel after breakfast to travel to Bath - Bath is fast becoming known as the ‘Christmas City’. Bath Christmas Market is a special delight in the holiday season, each year the area outside the beautiful Bath Abbey is transformed into a shopper’s haven. In the heart of Bath’s main shopping district, traditional wooden chalets adorn the streets, each one offering unique, handmade and unusual gifts, decorations and foot items. Buy everything you need for the perfect Christmas celebration.

Tuesday 4th December

After our final breakfast we will travel to Bath to expore the area again before returning to Lincolnshire shortly after lunch – sadly your festive trip comes to an end!
